Experience an unforgettable street photography workshop in Uzbekistan in September 2025! Over the course of a week, we’ll explore some of the country’s most iconic cities, immersing ourselves in its rich textures, vibrant markets, and timeless culture while sharpening your skills in:

Welcome Dinner

Tashkent
Date: September 10, 2025

The Welcome Dinner on September 10 will be a chance to meet the other participants and go over the workshop itinerary. It’s a great opportunity to discuss your street photography goals, share experiences, and get ready for the days ahead.

WORKSHOP:

TASHKENT
Dates: September 11–13, 2025 (3 days)

During the three days in Tashkent, we’ll explore the city’s vibrant streets, bustling markets, and historical landmarks. You’ll have the chance to practice your street photography skills, focusing on composition, colours and textures, while engaging with the local culture.

SAMARKAND
Dates: September 14–15, 2025 (2 days)

In Samarkand, we’ll spend two days capturing the city’s more tranquil atmosphere, focusing on its stunning architecture, tiles, peaceful streets, and outstanding cultural spaces. The slower pace of the city offers a unique opportunity to refine your photography skills, explore quiet moments, and engage with the rich history of this ancient place.

BUKHARA
Dates: September 16–17, 2025 (2 days)

In Bukhara, we’ll focus on mainly some neighbourhoods like Kogon, and Gijduvon, where you can immerse yourself in the local life and capture the essence of everyday moments. Along with exploring the city's highlights, including its historic mosques and bazaars, we’ll dive into the quieter, less touristy areas to discover unique scenes and the true spirit of Bukhara.

Final Day

BUKHARA
Date: September 18, 2025

The final day will be dedicated to wrapping up the workshop, with a comprehensive review of your portfolio and the photos you’ve taken throughout the week. This is a chance to reflect on your progress, get final feedback, and discuss how to continue developing your skills after the workshop ends.

    To make your arrival as smooth as possible, you’ll receive a detailed guide with practical information on navigating the airport, finding transportation, and settling in.

    This workshop is designed to be a friendly, non-competitive space where participants can learn from one another. With a small group size, you'll have the chance to make meaningful connections while sharing the experience with fellow photographers. It’s an intense yet rewarding opportunity to build lasting friendships and skills.

BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS

  • To secure your spot in the workshop, a $250 deposit is required.

  • I understand that plans can change. If you cancel more than a month before the workshop, your fee will be refunded minus the deposit and any transaction fees (e.g., PayPal). If you cancel within a month of the workshop, I can only refund 50% of the workshop fee unless the spot is filled by a new participant. In that case, you’ll receive a full refund.

  • In the rare event that I need to cancel, you’ll receive a full refund, including the deposit. However, I won’t be able to reimburse travel expenses or other costs related to your trip.

  • For peace of mind, especially if you’re less experienced with travelling, I recommend getting travel insurance to cover cancellations, missed flights, or similar situations. Please note that there are no partial refunds if you miss or choose to skip any days of the workshop.

  • PayPal fee not included, payments by PayPal are subject to a 5.4% + $.30 additional fee (PayPal Chile pricing)

  • A Bank Transfer is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS/ GEAR (The boring stuff)

  • A digital camera with a wide-angle lens (preferably a 28mm or 35mm prime) and familiarity with its settings.

  • Enough batteries and SD card space for 1,000+ photos per day.

  • A laptop or Tablet with Lightroom or Capture One software to review, flag, and rate photos daily. (I’ll have mine with me, but you’ll need yours ideally)

  • Comfortable walking shoes, and long pants. Expect long days with over 20,000+ steps

DETAILS

  • This workshop offers an immersive street photography experience, combining daily shooting, theory sessions, personalized assignments, and photo reviews. Groups are small (max 5 people), ensuring everyone gets plenty of time with me.

  • We’ll work in pairs, small groups, or solo, with flexible meeting points for breaks or regrouping. The focus is on creating unique, candid shots while respecting the community and avoiding staged photos. We’ll also review and discuss our work together daily.

  • You'll observe my approach to shooting and engaging with strangers while receiving assignments tailored to your interests and goals. We’ll also cover technical, ethical, and creative aspects of street photography through discussions and Q&A sessions.

  • A group chat will help with pre-workshop planning, like travel logistics and getting to know each other.

  • Accommodation, transport, and meals are included. Any special requirements or alcoholic beverages will be at your own expense. I’ll ensure the accommodation strikes the perfect balance between quality, central location, and keeping all participants as close to each other as possible.

  • This is a raw, authentic experience. We’ll explore local spots, eat at neighbourhood joints, and focus on spontaneous, meaningful photography
